Soldier Stories

Here are our unedited soldier stories. We were learning to write a short descriptive piece of writing to show some emotion.  We found it tricky putting ourselves into someone elses' shoes but we are pleased with how our writing turned out. Mrs A asked us to write a minimum of three sentences but some of us were on a roll and wrote more!  Please forgive our mistakes, as stated earlier this is unedited!

Boom went the bombs!
I can see lots of gun fire. Soldiers have been hit. Some are lying on the ground screaming in pain. Bleeding to death, the ground was covered in blood. It was so gross I wanted to swipe it out of my mind.    By Ashleigh

Soldiers

Last week we learnt about the ANZAC's.  Here are our photos we took in Brendon's uniform with his medals.  Thanks Brendon!  We know we should've changed the medals over to the right hand side but Mrs A forgot and then when she remembered most of the photos were done.  We don't mean to offend anyone and Brendon didn't mind so we hope others aren't offended either!! The beret isn't quite right either but we tried our best for a photo opportunity to wear an army uniform with some medals.

ANZAC Day

We have been learning about ANZAC Day as Mrs A thinks this is a very important day. Not just because we get a day off school but it is a day to remember all those men and women who both gave their lives and risked their lives so that we can live in such a beautiful country today.

Try completing this ANZAC quiz to see how much you have learnt.

Last Terms UROCK Inquiry

Well it's taken a while but here is some of the video footage you completed to show how we can accept others' abilities and efforts.  I haven't made any changes to your clips. We will have to learn how to edit our video to bling it up a bit! I have found a Web2 tool that I used for the last two clips. We will experiment with it this term!

Congratulations to those groups that cooperated and succeeded with this task.

Term 2 Inquiry

Here is a clue about what we will be doing for inquiry this term.  If you want to have a go and create a word shape click on Tagxedo under the Publishing Tools link list.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

Hi Team I hope you are all enjoying your holidays! I am! Troy and I have been watching the old Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Movie that was on tv on Easter Sunday at least once a day! I'll be able to sing you the Umpa Lumpa's song once school starts again!  We have eaten far too much chocolate - I hope you all have too!

Have fun.  I'll put some new games on the blog for you. I have been hooked on the hidden object games and have been staying up late playing them!
